Responsible for the overall technical direction of Qualys services, such
as Vulnerability Management, Policy Compliance, Web Application Scanning, PCI and Agent-based technologies.
Architected the Operation and Security of the QualysGuard service, implemented on
a set of Linux based application and database servers and a large number of
appliances. Built a team of System Administrators, Security
Engineers, Database Administrators and Build Engineers. Improved uptime
from 99.5% to 99.95%. Scaled the service's website through strong
growth periods. Introduced redundant, robust firewalls and load
balancers. Implemented performance and availability monitoring.
Migrated Qualysguard servers into a secure, private suite datacenter.
Implemented strong access control using RSA SecurID and smart cards on all production
servers. Conducted SAS70 Type II audits on Qualys Operations. Designed a
